222- Yusuf wanted a cheeky treat the other night and was craving Chinese. I wasn’t keen both for health and general craving reasons but really wanted noodles! I googled “noodles Cardiff” and noodlebox came up!

Its possibly my new favourite takeaway and even offers tasty healthy salad boxes. It is a slight ripoff of another popular noodle bar but the staff were brilliant and the food just as tasty!

204- since I’ve started running the weather has not been good. i got up this morning to a glorious clear sky and it made my run so much nicer.

The Marl is a big park near my house and this morning in the dazzling sunlight i was the only one there and it was brilliant. I did a few more sprints than normal and hobbled home but it felt great!

91- a fabulous piece of graffiti in sevenoaks parks, grangetown!

56 - OMG! how exciting is this?

20-After a very stressful week, I decided the only way to celebrate friday was a trip to Cardiff’s “New York Deli”!

I havent visited for years and I have no idea why. The sandwiches and hoagies are masterpieces filled with mountains of meaty goodness!

Harriet the owner is always friendly and welcoming flanked by a bevvy of eternally young and dishy men behind the counter.

I plumped for the monstrous new york hoagie which was exactly what I needed for a grizzly friday!

19- Since returning to work from the christmas holidays things have been hectic to say the least. This last week has seen a number of deadlines on top of the normal work but now only one remains and I have managed to get it all done.

In an attempt to get that balance back on track, I took this afternoon off and decided to get away from tvs, computers and technology which seem always to be around me right now.

I took the dogs over to Penarth Marina and for the first time this year we started on our regular route across the barrage and back again. For “toy” dogs Edward and Arthur are pretty hardy boys and they love to run, chase and roll their way across the expanses of grass that cover the majority of the barrage. The weather was clear and although it was quite cold and very windy, the walk was lovely. With very few people around on a cold and windy weekday afternoon it was nice and peaceful and the dogs had the whole place to themselves.

The Barrage is such an amazing place, totally man made but now a decade on, it has developed nicely into its surroundings and creates a very accessible space for visitors with play areas, outdoor gym and skate park, not to mention the new BBC studios and timeless Norwegian church.

Things don’t look like they are calming down in work but i’m definitely going to make an effort to take some more time off like today.

17 - A beautiful morning to be walking to walk in Cardiff. I regretted flip flops for the dogs 6am walk for the first time this winter. but now properly insulated with shoes, coats and coffee, I am making my way through this city that I love. good times
